The fantastic buildings built by the architecture star Zaha Hadid, which disappeared last year, are fluid, almost liquid shapes that design spaces that seem like waves to ride. These architectures are well matched with the dynamism of our present life, in which “navigate” is the word that marks our language and perfectly matches our way of life, in continuous motion, even when we are physically fixed.

Its dynamic architectures have inspired our article, where we present some contemporary Italian design products available on our online shop, with organic and fluid shapes.

Softer than steel by Nendo for Desalto is a metal sheet bench. Its main feature and beauty is the contrast between rigid material and its fluid forms; in fact, the metal plate rises and folds back to give way to the backrest. The product thus becomes extremely lightweight and flexible, such as a fabric or sheet of paper.

And speaking of paper sheets, here are the sinuous shapes of Kartell’s graceful and elegant Front Page magazine rack. It seems like a sudden wind fever unmoving the pages of a newspaper that open and become the flowed shelves of this furnishing complement.

Rombo clothes hanger by Giopato e Coombes for Miniforms is a graphic sign that expands vertically in space, just like an architectural building. The steel sheet with which it is made is laser cut and manually calendered.
