The places where we spend more time are those in which we work. The office is one of these and is an environment that must stimulate concentration, creativity and commitment. In addition to being functional, however, so that people can work at their best, in harmony, the style and quality of the furnishings that characterize the work environment play their part and, indeed, must be strongly considered, because they are decisive. We all agree that if we are in a beautiful and welcoming environment we work much more willingly!

So here we are ready to offer you some ideas for a functional, quality and style design office  with the products available in our online furniture store. This time we thought of an office with a light spirit and touches of red, to promote good mood and imagination.

A mobile desk, ergonomic and very comfortable chairs, a technical lamp and a customizable bookcase, these are the essential elements to furnish the office in a simple and efficient way, but above all, through our proposals, with a lot of style. Let’s find out together the products we have selected for an Italian contemporary design office.

Let’s start with the absolutely essential product: the desk. We have chosen the Big Will by Magis table designed by Philippe Starck. This is an extendable table particularly suited to the function of a desk, because, thanks to its two wheels on one side, it is practical to position and move in the room. It is available in white, black or polished aluminum.

There is no desk without a chair and so we immediately proceeded by choosing the Spoon chair by Kartell designed by Antonio Citterio with Toan Nguyen. It has a decisive stroke, a particular design, with its linear and sinuous silhouette attached to the wheels and a hint of two armrests. Spoon is a product of high technology and maximum flexibility, adapts to the weight of the user and has a hidden handle to adjust the height of the seat. The colors available are white, black, blue, gray or orange.

Spoon is a project that also includes the swivel stool, with the same silouhette of the chair, but even more linear and essential, available in white, black, red and orange.

Alternatively, for a more natural style with a Nordic soul, we have chosen the Substance chair by Magis with legs in natural ash wood and the seat finished in pastel colors. The line of this product is very soft and in fact the result is a chair with a sweet and welcoming shape that will make you feel a little more at home.

Where to put volumes, catalogs and documents? In Kartell’s Bookworm bookcase designed by Ron Arad, an artist more than a designer, who with its great,  sinuous and gracefullines has created this bookcase characterized by extreme lightness and a lot of customization possibilities. For our moodboard we chose the classic spiral composition in the wine red version, for an original touch of color on the wall.

Finally, in the office, or better, on the desk, it is necessary to have the right lighting. That’s why we thought of the brand new Aledin Tec office lamp designed by Alberto and Francesco Meda for Kartell. It is a LED lamp with a very thin but flexible body, it has a flat swivel head, thanks to the movement of the diffuser, from which a direct light beam comes out. This lamp has a high light output and guarantees a strong energy saving thanks to the latest generation LEDs.
