Coffee table in chromed steel and crystal top designed in 1927 by Eileen Gray for the guest room of villa E 1027 in Roquebrune that Gray designed with his collaborator Jean Badovici.

The cryptic appellation of E 1027 hid the joint initials of Gray and Badovici: the E stood for Eileen, the 10 followed by the 2 represented the J and the B, i.e. the tenth and the second letter of the alphabet, while the 7 represented the G, which stood for Gray.
