Solid and pure: the great return of marble in design furnishings

At the last Milano Design Week 2017 we noticed a new trend presented by many Italian interior design brands: the return of the marble finish for the surfaces of tables and coffee tables. Real Carrara marble slabs, stoneware or ceramic tops with a white, gray, black or veined marble effect.

This trend will become the protagonist of the upcoming Design Week 2018, considering the previews of new products, such as the Lago Bold table with gray marble effect porcelain stoneware, an absolute novelty for the company, considering that for many years is distinguished exclusively for its colored glass and wood finishes.

But there are many brands that had already introduced the marble in their product catalog, each in its own way, following their own style, those with a vintage touch, those in a skillful game of mix with other materials such as iron or porcelain: Gervasoni with Gray table, all the new tables of Miniforms brand with a retro accent, Diesel with the series of Hexxed tables in collaboration with Moroso, even Magis and Kartell with the Officina and Multiplo tables.

The marble gives importance to the room and the result is of extreme elegance. Its glossy surface creates a luminous game that attracts attention. The feeling is of a pure, solid and clean material.

It is the return of a great classic and here we present a series of products offered by the best companies of contemporary Italian design.
