13 Dec Ultra Violet is the Pantone colour of the year 2018
Pantone has elected the symbolic color of the next year 2018: the Pantone purple 18-3838, or, the Ultra Violet.
It is a shade of intense purple, which the company defines more as the representation of what is needed today in the world than a design color trend.
What one of the world’s number one company in terms of color is provocatively talking about through this nuance is the need of reflection, imagination, originality and creativity: a visionary thought that directs us towards the future… and the Ultra Violet color is the representation of this.
The Ultra Violet nuance stimulates imagination and creativity. It has been studied that the use of purple tones to illuminate places of gathering and meditation spurs people and inspires them to connect.
In the interior decoration the shades of purple create soft and modern contrasts, and often the result is an eclectic atmosphere, perfect for those who don’t like compliance and look for different sensations and styles.
